Register of hazardous waste
consignment notes
Whenever hazardous waste is taken from a site, a consignment note must be completed. A record of all consignment notes must be kept by the waste producer.
Keeping records
To help keep your records up-to-date, use our Register of Hazardous Waste Consignment Notes. On it you can record the type of waste you’ve sent off site, who it was sent to and when.
Tip. Make sure your records are as accurate as possible because in the event of your hazardous waste being dumped illegally, being able to prove that you complied with your duty of care could prevent you from being prosecuted.
