Asbestos management policy
When asbestos is present in a building any work in the vicinity must be carefully controlled. Use our policy to make sure the material isn’t accidentally disturbed.
What’s involved?
To help you maintain control over the risks of asbestos-containing materials, we’ve produced a template Asbestos Management Policy. It explains the practices you should implement and also when staff are working on third party sites.
The document includes the following sections:

- asbestos in our premises
- management responsibilities

- employee responsibilities
- emergencies.
There are spaces for you to fill in the details which are specific to your workplace. There are also instructions in italics to help you in tailoring the contents. You should delete these notes once you have completed the required changes.
