Welding safety checklist
Before welding, it’s sensible to check that key safety arrangements are in place. Use our checklist for this purpose.
This Welding Safety Checklist is designed as a supplement to your risk assessment and method statement and can be completed by the workers themselves. It begins with a reminder of the hazards associated with welding, which can be easily overlooked by users who are familiar with the equipment. There are then two sections covering the equipment and the surrounding area, such as inspecting the equipment for signs of damage and whether fire extinguishers are present. The form should take no longer than two to three minutes to complete.
